What is Summer Camp?

Get ready for summer adventures at Roosevelt Park Zoo with Animal Adaptations Summer Camp! Campers will discover the amazing abilities of animals through engaging games, hands-on activities, creative crafts, up-close animal encounters, and guided zoo tours.

Our camps are carefully designed to provide age-appropriate experiences for children from ages 2 through 8th grade. Join us for a summer of learning, exploration, and fun!

Camp Cost

Camp rates and fees vary based on class.  

Important Items

Summer Camp classes and time vary. 

With the exclusion of Tots Camp, this program is intended to be drop off only.

Lunch and snack will be provided for your child. You must indicate any allergies or health needs during registration.

Please send a spill proof water bottle with your child’s name on it with your child. 

Dress children in casual, comfortable, weather appropriate clothing. If your child requires sunscreen, please apply before drop off. 

Drop Off/Pick up Information

Location: Roosevelt Park Zoo Visitor Center

Children can be dropped off no more than 10 minutes prior to camp start time. 

A parent/guardian must sign their child in with staff and indicate who will be picking up the camper. A photo ID will be requested at the end of each session to confirm the pick-up person.

Cancellations/Refunds

Cancellations and date changes must be made one week prior to scheduled programs. No refunds will be issued for cancellations within two weeks of the program date. Missed sessions will be considered a donation to the zoo.

Weather Related Information

Please dress your child in weather appropriate clothing as they may go outside. If your child requires sunscreen, please apply before drop off.
