Zoo Tots
Zoo Tots combines self-guided exploratory play with structured learning activities. Children can enjoy crafts, sensory bins, and educational stations during free play, followed by circle time, sing-alongs, and an up-close animal encounter. Each Zoo Tots session incorporates play-based activities designed to encourage observation, exploration, and discovery, fostering a love for science and learning in young minds.
Zoo to You
Zoo To You Outreach Animal Programs bring the wonder of wildlife to Minot and surrounding North Dakota communities. These programs are designed for groups of all kinds, offering engaging opportunities to learn about animals, their physical characteristics, adaptations, and the importance of conservation.
Suitable for all ages and audiences, Zoo To You can be tailored to formal or informal settings and is also available for on-site events. Whether you’re hosting a school group, community event, or private gathering, our programs deliver an educational and unforgettable experience!
School's Out day camp
When school’s out, the fun begins at Roosevelt Park Zoo! Join us for our School’s Out Day Camp, where campers can dive into themed activities that inspire exploration, observation, and discovery.
Participants will enjoy games, crafts, zoo walks, and exciting encounters with one of the zoo’s ambassador animals—plus so much more! It’s the perfect way to spend a day off from school while learning and having a wild time.

Get ready for summer adventures at Roosevelt Park Zoo! Campers will discover the amazing abilities of animals through engaging games, hands-on activities, creative crafts, up-close animal encounters, and guided zoo tours.
Our camps are carefully designed to provide age-appropriate experiences for children from ages 2 through 8th grade. Join us for a summer of learning, exploration, and fun!

ZooTeen Volunteers
The ZooTeen Volunteer Program at Roosevelt Park Zoo is your chance to step into the world of wildlife, conservation, and leadership! As a ZooTeen, you’ll get behind-the-scenes opportunities, help create unforgettable experiences for guests, and be part of a team making a real impact on animals and the environment.
We’re looking for 24 dedicated teens who are ready to take on the challenge and make this summer one to remember!
