What is School’s Out Day Camp?

When school is out, camp is in! Join Roosevelt Park Zoo for our School’s Out Day Camp featuring themed activities designed to foster exploration, and encourage learning through observation and discovery. Campers will participate in games, activities and crafts, zoo walks, meet one of the zoo’s ambassador animals plus much more.

Camp is usually hosted one to two days during fall break, winter break, and spring break, following the Minot Public School’s calendar.

Important Items

Day camp is open from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.

Day camp is designed for children ages 5 to 10 years old and they should be fully potty trained. This program is intended to be drop off only.

Lunch and snack will be provided for your child. You must indicate any allergies or health needs during registration.

Dress children in casual, comfortable, weather appropriate clothing – Please send snow gear during winter months as we will be going on Zoo grounds if the weather permits.

Drop Off/Pick up Information

Time: Camp is open from 8:30AM to 5PM. Doors will open at 8:20AM

Location: Roosevelt Park Zoo Visitor Center

Children cannot be dropped off prior to 8:30AM and must be picked up prior to 5PM.

A parent/guardian must sign their child in with staff and indicate who will be picking up the camper. A photo ID will be requested at the end of each session to confirm the pick-up person.

Cancellations/Refunds

Cancellations and date changes must be made one week prior to scheduled programs. No refunds will be issued for cancellations within two weeks of the program date. Missed sessions will be considered a donation to the zoo.

Weather Related Information

Please dress your child in weather appropriate clothing as they may go outside.
